Production 2- Responses and Picture Taking

Image
After I messaged the travelers, I got a couple responses back from people who are willing to be interviewed. For the interview, I will be asking some basic questions to start off, such as, "Where is your favorite place to travel?","What are best ways to safe during these times?","Do you even recommend traveling?" Then I will ask a couple more like "Where in state could people go to be safe?","Have you traveled in 2020, if so where was it and how did you keep safe? I think I am going to do my interview with a guy named Eric Stoen and/or Max Homer. They seemed the most interested in doing an interview with me! For the photo process, I am not going to have a model for all the pictures, but if I do it is going to be my mom, sister and cousin. Overall, I think the start of the interviews and getting people to do them have gone pretty well. They all have been very nice and they seem excited to be a part of these article. Production 1- Scheduling and Deciding

Throughout these next couple days, I am going to work on scheduling an interview. I have messaged 15 travelers and now I am just waiting for a response. If they do not respond, I do have a small back up plan. In the mean time, I am looking/deciding what photos I would like to take and use. I am trying to figure out what photos will look the best with my magazine and what angles match the style I am going for.  I am still determining exactly how many photos I want. I plan on taking a lot of my photos over Christmas break. Some angles I might use are "Extreme Wide Shot" and maybe a couple others. I am still playing around with InDesign and trying to figure out different tools in order to make my magazine the way I want. My teammate, Katie, is working on scheduling where she is taking her photos and at what angles. She has also messaged a whole bunch of travelers and has gotten a couple of responses. For the most part, we are pretty much doing the same thing. Now I am just wait...

Storyboard

Image
Last week I started storyboarding for my magazine. It was definitely a good way for me to get ideas and stay organized. It got a little difficult at some points because I had no idea of what I wanted. I brainstormed a lot and looked at all my sample photos, so I would get an idea. I enjoyed being able to see everything laid out and the magazine slowly coming together. In the article " Storyboard your way to success" it states  "Storyboarding is flexible. It is comprehensive. And it allows a group to generate a lot of ideas." Storyboarding helped me come up with a solid plan of what I would like my magazine to look like. It took careful organization and thought, but it eventually came together.  According to the article " Filmmaking across the curriculum: a beginner's guide" it states  "...a complex and time-consuming activity which requires careful planning and organization to make sure both you and your students get the most out of it." I s...
